The former moated fort was built in the 11th century and is situated in the middle of vineyards on high ground above the town of Nennig on the River Mosel. It was later converted into a magnificent castle, and a few years ago this fairy-tale residence became a luxury hotel.
The Munich designer Graf Pilati has created a luxurious environment where modern elements and the flair of an historic castle are integrated into an harmonious whole in an exemplary fashion. Mediterranean charm characterizes the light and airy atmosphere of the new Villa building completed in 2001.
